This subject is one of my pet peeves. I think there are entirely too many people running around playing 'watchdog'and telling the rest of us what we should or should not be doing. This man has been obviously doing his art for several years now, and still teaching school. He keeps the two separate... The only thing that I see he is teaching his students is that he's not afraid to work outside the classroom... And, perhaps, if teachers were paid the salaries they deserve...?
I have a brother who has a public job... and he is also a photographer. The area in which we live is very narrow-minded, and he is positive he would be fired if he sold any of his work... My brother does art photography... not porn, and you would be surprised at how many people do not KNOW the difference...
As one of Bethany's writers, I can tell you that the Politically Correct would not approve of the stories I write because of the spankings in them... BUT, those same people do not complain a bit about all the murder, rape, drugs, etc., that are in so-called 'good' books today... I find that unbelievable.
I think society as a whole needs to tell these watchdog types to do as THEY please, and stop sticking their noses in everyone elses' lives. I looked at this teacher's art... I don't see a darn thing wrong with it. As long as he is teaching his students the material outlined for earning credits, and fulfilling his duties as regards grades, conferfences, etc., then what the man does on his time off is HIS business.
Bethany and Jim, you do not have to post this opinion unless you want to... It helped me to rant a bit... One of my personal pet peeves. I do not have much 'like' for the PC world.
