The Rules: Please
read CAREFULLY!
1. This deadline for the contest
is the last day of the month of the contest.
2. Entries for the themed contests must follow the theme of the
contest.
3. Stories must be between 4000 and 10,000 words.
4. Bethany's Woodshed will accept material in which underage teens
are spanked. However, any female with whom there is overt sexual
contact (as opposed to spanking) in a contemporary story must
be 18. In historical, fantasy, or sci-fi any woman with whom there
is sexual contact must be sexually mature and old enough to be
considered above the age of consent in her time or place. We are
not interested in stories where children under the age of 13 are
spanked except as a brief mention of a main character's recollections
of childhood.
5. Anyone may enter, including former winners and writers we have
paid. Our contest coordinator - Babs - will know the identity
of the entrants (and will be judging), but other judges, including
Bethany, will not.
6. At our discretion, should a former winner or paid writer win,
we reserve the right to assign a new penname to the writer for
the publication of the story.
7. Story lines for our contests must be new and unique. Please
do not send continuations of story lines you have already started
for us in to a contest without contacting Babs or Bethany first.
We do accept entries that are "Chapter 1" of longer
works.
8. All winners must be willing to provide proof of identification
and be willing to sign a release stating that it is the author's
original work. (Click here to view
the release.) This is to protect us from someone entering another's
copyrighted material to the contest. No prizes will be awarded
under any circumstances until identification is provided. ABCD
Webmasters reserves the right to not award all of the prizes in
a given contest.
9. All prizewinning stories become the property of ABCD WebMasters
for exclusive internet publication for two years.
10. Please access our entry form by clicking here.
Any inquiries about the contest should be sent to herwdshed@cox.net.
The story should be sent as an attached document - Microsoft Word
preferred. The story document itself should contain the story
title, the author's real name, author's preferred penname, and
author's E-mail address. This identifying info will be stripped
from the story before it is submitted to the other judges for
judging. The E-mail accompanying the story should also contain
the story title, author's real name, and preferred penname.
11. All entries will be acknowledged within 48 hours. If you do
NOT receive an acknowledgement, it is your responsibility to follow
up.
12. Winners will be announced by the fifteenth of the month following
the contest.
Good Luck
and Happy Writing!
